MotherVerse mother writer workshops are a great way to connect and learn from other mother writers in an intimate and private setting. Each workshop lasts 5 weeks and is completely virtual, so geography or childcare is never an issue. MotherVerse has been at the forefront of mother writing for three years, now we invite you to join in the empowering experience of connecting with other mothers in this unique setting. What is a MotherVerse mother writer workshop? A MotherVerse mother writer workshop is based on the simple premise that mothers often do their best work when they have the support and guidance of other mother writers. The workshops provide an opportunity for mother writers with many levels of experience to come together in a supportive environment. The workshops are held in a private forum where attendees and mentors meet in a intimately and guide each other towards their writing goals. While all attendees will have the chance to guide and comment on each others writing, the workshops also include at least two published mother writers to lead and mentor attendees. These mother writers are available to teach and answer questions, offer advice and suggestions, and give one-on-one attention to each workshop member. MotherVerse Magazine editors will also be available to answer questions personally and offer support. Previous mentors have included Kris Underwood, Suzanne Kamata and Shana Clauson. Attendees can login as little or as often as they like to participate in group projects, post their writing, and work with other members throughout the workshop. Attendees will also be able to converse privately with mentors whenever needed. What does a mother writer workshop cover? Each workshop will give you a chance to learn about other contemporary mother writers, post and work on your own writing and gain real and honest feedback on your work. You will connect with other attendees and mentors, work one-on-one with knowledgeable published writers, develop projects that interest you in a supportive environment, and find resources and outlets for getting your writing in the public sphere. Workshops offer suggested group readings, individual and group writing projects, individual and group mentoring, help for balancing writing and family, and connections to resources for learning and publishing. If you are interested in beginning writing about motherhood, or are a current writer looking for a motivating environment in which to grow, sign up for the Writing Motherhood workshop. Each attendee will have the chance to develop both a short and long piece of writing with one-on-one and group guidance, as well as take part in smaller group projects. Our current topic specific workshop, Publishing a Blog, offers a direct focus on developing a blog and blog writing for mothers. If you have considered starting your own blog, or are interested in developing your current blog writing, consider this workshop. Technical blog development in various platforms as well as the intricacies of blog writing will be covered and each attendee will be guided through developing their own blog or improving a current one. Join us. Registration is on a first come basis and each workshop is limited to 20 members. The workshops are priced on a sliding scale so that all mothers can enjoy the workshops.
